How do I stop my lying problem?

I have a big lying problem and I've had It for a long time and things are getting worst with my lying. I pen pal with people (snail mail) and I've been pen palling since I was a teen but the last few years I've been starting to lie to them about my life. I lie to them ALOT, about what I do and I lie to them about my life, I just don't want to feel like I am a boring person since I really don't have anything to tell them about my life, It's not so Interesting, so I lie and make stories up and my pen pals and friends believe me. my lying Is messing up my life. I not only lie to my pen pals and friends, but I also lie to my family a lot. I just can't stop lying and I need so much help to try to stop my lying. I lie about everything, to my friends so I won't sound like a boring and uninteresting person. I've made good friends with some of my pen pals but I am not true to them. please just help me, that's all I ask, I want to STOP with my lying, please help.....
