My ipod just sits on the boot logo and doesnt do anything including itunes wont reconize it?

hold both the home on and lock on until the screen goes black, let go of the lock on, and hold just the home on for 10 seconds(DFU MODE) plug into itunes, should say restore, and it'll fix it, but u gotta rejailbreak, nd hopefully do it right this time xD hope it works
