What are some ways in which I can improve my diction and vocabulary. Thanks?

If anyone is aware of any books, tapes or anything of that ilk. I am looking to improve that way that I speak and write as well as expanding my vocabulary. Any any all suggestions would be very helpful and appreciated. Many Thanks.
