What is wrong with my only car?

I have a 2008 dodge caliber sxt with 37000 miles. I bought it used in 2008. Lately it's been acting weird. When I was driving home from work last week it randomly cut off which has never happened to me before. And I restarted it and left. But now it acts like it doesent want to start at all. Is it possibly my battery or like fuel pump problem?
