Why do people eat bananas like this, it really annoys me?

They peel it like normal, then they continue to peel it so the entire edible part breaks away from the skin, then they take the edible part of the banana as a whole and eat it from the bottom. why don't they just eat it like a normal person, just peel away half of the skin and take a bight with the skin still intact.
