In Magic the Gathering is a creature enchanted with Brink of Disaster destroyed before he attacks?

If used for a mana ability (for a land or a card like bird of paradise) you immediately get the mana and then the card is destroyed. If used for an effect, the card dies then the effect resolves (so the effect goes on the stack first). If a creature attacks it's just dead.
